Horseshoe Bend is the 2023 Award Winner as Best Activity in Page, Presented by Travelers' Atlas®.

1001 Page Parkway, Page - Arizona 86040 - USA

Things to Do

The horseshoe-shaped bend in the Colorado River, a renowned natural attraction near the entrance of Grand Canyon National Park and accessible via Page, has been recognized for its exceptional appeal as an activity in Page. The viewpoint provides expansive views, highlighting the contrast between the river's turquoise waters and the surrounding orange cliffs, particularly striking at sunset. The trail to the overlook is straightforward but lacks shade, advising hikers to prepare with protective wear, sunscreen, and adequate water.

Despite the heat, the trail draws numerous visitors keen to witness the iconic view. To further enrich the visit, several tours integrate a stop at the bend with other nearby attractions like Glen Canyon Dam and Antelope Canyon, offering a fuller exploration of the region's natural wonders and optimizing the visit to this segment of the Colorado River.

Such a beautiful viewpoint of the Colorado river in Arizona. Pictures don’t do it justice this place is spectacular. There is a rail guarded area for family and plenty of unguarded area to explore and hang your feet off the edge of the cliff. It’s about a 15 min walk from the parking lot. Stay hydrated.

Views of this iconic landmark is unique & beautiful.
However be careful of the intense summer heat, and the overwhelming crowd awaiting the sunset.

What a wonderful view, it’s one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life! It cost 10$ per car to get in, you’ll have to walk about 1/2 mile from the parking lot to the view, it’s really beautiful don’t miss that.
